A roadmap is a table that shows all the things you need to learn so you can start working as a programmer and make money from it.

Why do you need a roadmap?

• So you don’t waste your time learning things that are not needed.
• So you don’t miss the important skills you need for getting a job.
• So you can enter the job market faster.
• So you learn only the things that are really necessary for starting your career.

What makes a good roadmap?

If someone asks you, “Should we go to another city by plane or by car?”, there is no one correct answer. You look at the situation and choose. Maybe you say plane, maybe you say car.

A programming roadmap is exactly the same. We must first understand our goal!

• Maybe someone wants to make money with programming.
• Maybe someone wants to learn programming just because they enjoy it.
• Maybe someone wants to learn programming to use it in their main field of study.

So, the best roadmap is the one that shows the right path for you, based on your own goal.

Who are these roadmaps for?

• Someone who enjoys working with complex problems

• Someone who is very detail-oriented
• Someone who thinks things like colors or visual layout are not very important

• Someone who has a curious mind and wants to know the story behind everything
